Life Teen March for Life DC Trip

dcpromo.png

Life Teen March for Life DC Trip

An exciting new experience for our Life Teen Youth Ministry, we are taking 12 teens to Washington DC for the March for Life this January! The trip will be 5 days, and besides normal travel time, we’ll be attending the Life Is Very Good Rally and Mass, the March for Life (which attracts between 100,000-300,000 people every year), visiting the National Basilica and the JP2 Shrine, and taking a tour of many famous DC sights (Lincoln Memorial, White House, Arlington Cemetery, etc).

The chaperones this year will be Andrew Starbuck, McKenzie Mona, and Fr. Bryan Buenger.

Due to the generous hospitality of a former CORE Member, Christa Owen (who now lives just outside DC), we have the opportunity to go on this amazing, life-changing experience for a very low cost.

The entire trip, with the exception of lunch each day as we’re out and any souvenirs, will cost each person only $750. That includes airfare, transportation, lodging, breakfast and dinner, and the events we attend.

We are taking the first 12 teens that register and pay their deposit ($250). Priority is given to active Life Teen participants, but will be opened to other high-school teens if spots are still available. Anyone that registers and is either a.) not an active LT participant or b.) after the 12 spots are secured, will be put on a waiting list and will have first priority if any spots open up.

Crux Discipleship Bible Study

cruxlogo.png

The purpose of The Crux is to invite participants to make Jesus Christ the center of their lives. The title of this study comes from the Latin word crux which means “cross.” It follows the example of St. Paul, “to preach Christ crucified” so that others may come to know the love that God has for us (1 Corinthians 1:23). The word crux today also refers to a place of decision or turning point. We want this study to be an experience where the participants can gaze upon the cross of Jesus Christ and come to a decision about Him in their own lives.

Join us in St. Clare Hall from 6pm - 8pm for this 7-part study!

We'll discuss the new year, our theme for the next two semesters, and get you all of the pertinent information and share about some upcoming dates. We will talk about EDGE (Middle School), Chosen (Sacrament Prep), and Life Teen (High School) and give you a chance to ask any questions you may have.

This meeting is meant just for parents and is also a GREAT time to turn in any paperwork (I'll have extra copies for anyone who needs some).
