ENDOW GIRLS MINISTRY
Girls of St. Thomas Aquinas - the world needs what YOU ARE, not what you have (St. Edith Stein). Endow Girls Ministry small group studies are currently open to girls from 6th-9th and 10th-12th grades. Endow helps each girl discover her identity as a daughter of God, loved into being, and called to be in communion with the Holy Trinity.
This involves meeting twice a month on Saturdays from 9am-11am to read and learn about the feminine genius through lessons based on the teaching of St. Pope John Paul II and the example of women saints.
6th - 9th Grade Endow
Being an authentic leader means taking care of others. Humble leaders know their strengths and weaknesses, and see their abilities as gifts from God. They recognize the decision to live for Christ is one that is made every day. With Jesus as their example of leadership, the third part in this series will help girls recognize they have each been given a specific mission. They are encouraged to discover their own call from Christ to be a leader in whatever areas He’s inviting them. The study helps young women to explore their roles as Christ’s daughters and live out their girl genius at their school, church, and at home.
10th-12th grade ENDOW
“What is Love” through an exploration of CS Lewis’ Four Loves as well as an introduction of Gary Chapman’s Five Love Languages. It explores the purpose of friendship and outlines how to identify a good friend. In discussing several holy friendships, including Saint Teresa of Avila and Saint John of the Cross as well as Saint Francis de Sales and Saint Jane Frances de Chantal, the concept of true friendship is further solidified. The study concludes with an exploration of the difference between love and lust and introduces the concept of dating with intention, allowing young women to understand the critical importance of surrounding themselves with those who desire what is best for them and will enable them to flourish.
Registration is $50 per student. The registration fee covers snacks and other incidentals, but not individual copies of the Endow study book. If you desire a personal copy these can be ordered directly from Endow after your registration is confirmed.
